WHO IS PART OF TEAM CONCERN?

This year, Concern Foundation is teaming up with the following organizations to raise funds for cancer research and important programs for cancer patients and their families.

AYA@USC , the Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Program at USC, helps young adults with cancer navigate through their cancer journey and seek peer support and psycho-social services in Southern California.

Beauty Bus Foundation, founded in 2009, delivers loving kindness, support and compassion to seriously ill patients and caregivers through beauty services and products. Thanks to an army of volunteers, Beauty Bus creates Pop-Up Beauty Salons in hospitals, social service agencies, and — in response to the pandemic — online! Each client who is served at a Pop-Up Salon is gifted with a Bag of Beauty with $150 worth of donated product. Throughout the pandemic, Beauty Bus distributed more than 5,000 Bags of Beauty to frontline healthcare workers who have worked tirelessly to take care of our community. Delivering compassion and human connection is the hallmark of Beauty Bus.

Cedars-Sinai's Wellness, Resilience, and Survivorship Program, part of the Cedars-Sinai Cancer Patient and Family Support Program, maintains a mission of improving the physical, psychological, social and spiritual wellbeing of cancer patients and their families through providing educational services and activities. The trans-disciplinary team of exercise physiologists, neuropsychologists, art therapists, yoga instructors, dieticians and other professionals focuses on promoting wellness after a cancer diagnosis. With the goal of offering whole-person care and the belief that the way we think and live our lives can make meaningful differences in cancer survivorship, they have developed novel clinical and research programs to support cancer survivors.

Hope for Henry is reinventing how hospitals care for children and their families through innovative, scientifically tested programs that help hospitalized kids confront the challenges of serious illness, adhere to their medical plans, and thrive.  For more information, please visit www.hopeforhenry.org.

The Kevin Cordasco Foundation: Something Yellow is committed to raising awareness and funds to support childhood cancers and was inspired by Kevin Cordasco, a courageous young man who battled neuroblastoma for 7 years before he passed away at the age of 16.

The Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center (DFCC) at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center is a comprehensive, state-of-the-art outpatient center dedicated to healing cancer patients in mind, body, and spirit. The DFCC brings together fellowship-trained surgeons, medical oncologists and other cancer specialists, advance research, premier technology, and comprehensive support services to ensure patients receive the most effective treatment possible. The Integrative Medicine Department is a critical patient-focused approach to care. The offerings include acupuncture, massage, hypnotherapy, private yoga therapy, chair yoga, art journaling, nutritional counseling, sound meditation, and Tai Chi. Medical specialists include Clinical Genetics & Genomics, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, Acupuncture, Breast Health, Gynecologic Oncology, Head & Neck Oncology, Neuro Oncology, Plastic and Reconstructive Breast, Diagnostic Radiology, Hematology Oncology, Thoracic Oncology, Skin Cancer (Melanoma) and Urologic Oncology. Last year, the DFCC saw 60,000 patients.

Sharsheret improves the lives of women and families living with or at increased genetic risk for breast or ovarian cancer through personalized support and saves lives through educational outreach. Sharsheret's national programs offer free and confidential psychosocial support, personalized care kits, and financial subsidies for non-medical expenses to women and their loved ones throughout the country. Their community health programs educate and empower the community to raise awareness about cancer and cancer genetics.

    WHY SUPPORT TEAM CONCERN?

Team Concern helps raise funds and bring awareness to support Concern Foundation's mission to Conquer Cancer Now through the promotion of an active, healthy lifestyle and participation in athletic events. In thirteen years, we have raised more than $1.3 million that have gone directly to cancer research, services for cancer patients and treatment programs in Los Angeles and around the world.
