WHY donate?  Here are Anne's words:

For me the cholangiocarcinoma organization was my first opportunity to talk to someone else that has this disease. It was extremely important to me to meet someone that knew what I was talking about. Melinda was full of resources and suggestions and compassion.
Later I joined an online support group through CCF. It has been an ongoing source of help, sympathy and humor.
Additionally, CCF reaches out to medical experts and researchers. They provide information about new treatment resources. They organize events and lectures to educate this community and connect us. They share articles and assemble panels. They connect patients with grants for second opinions, lists of leading doctors in the field, facilities that are doing important research, labs that are doing additional testing. They keep their finger on the pulse of the latest and greatest. This is the most important thing when you're dealing with a cancer that is unknown and untreatable. It all has to do with the clinical research. The leaders at CCF are passionate and amazing.  There's a sincere sense that they won't give up until we find the cure.
NOTE:  Anne supporters in MA, CA, MN, ETC. walk, run, trot, sing, dance with us virtually THANKSGIVING's week!  Send photos & messages to Anne.

About Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation

The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation is the only non-profit organization in North America exclusively dedicated to finding a cure and improving the quality of life for those affected by cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). Approximately 10,000 people in the United States are diagnosed each year with this hard-to-diagnose, difficult-to-treat, fatal type of cancer. Cholangiocarcinoma is a rare but deadly cancer that has very little name recognition or awareness. Due to this lack of visibility, it is often overlooked as symptoms can mimic those of other illnesses and diagnosis comes too late. Conventional cancer treatments remain ineffective against cholangiocarcinoma, and most people diagnosed with advanced disease have less than a 5% chance of surviving at least five years. While almost 2 out of 3 people with bile duct cancer are 65 or older, people of nearly any age can be diagnosed. There has been an alarming increase in the past decade of young individuals being diagnosed in their 20’s, 30’s or 40’s.
