Take the 800 Challenge!

Homeless veterans need us right now, more than ever. We are inviting the nation to take the 800 Challenge and end veteran homelessness this Holiday season.

Beginning November 6th and running until December 30th, we are asking for donations to place our homeless military men and women into permanent housing.

Take The 800 Challenge! It cost approximately $800 to help permanently house one veteran and their family. To date, Veterans Matter has housed over 4,000 homeless vets and 5,987 veteran families since 2012. Let’s house as many veterans as possible this Holiday season!  Every dollar raised goes towards the PERMANENT housing of a vet or a veteran family.

The National Homeless Veterans Housing Program is the collaborative effort with the Veterans Administration, providing medical & mental assistance as well as employment training for those in need, giving them a fresh start and domestic autonomy. This organization is not funded by any large corporation, ALL funding comes from donations from Americans like us. Are you up for the Challenge?

Commercial Power Sweep, Inc. is proud of our Veterans and we are making it easy for each of us to do our part in housing the country's homeless veterans.
It takes $800 on average for us to house a veteran in a home for the brave in the land of the free!

EVERY dollar we deploy results in another veteran housed in a long-term housing program with a 91% success rate keeping them housed.

This means your donation and fundraising efforts, large or small, will result in another veteran or veteran family housed, every time!
About Veterans Matter

Our mission is simple, house as many veterans as we can, as fast as we can.

In 2012, Veterans Matter was launched in Toledo to house 35 local veterans and expanded nationally with the support of Dusty Hill of ZZ Top, John Mellencamp, and Mitch Albom, who wanted to help house veterans in their home states.

Veterans Matter – National Homeless Veterans Housing Program is a systems-level non-profit organization that works directly with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and local VA homeless programs to provide rental deposits and the veteran’s portion of the first month’s rent for chronically homeless veterans engaged in the HUD-VASH program. Using evidenced-based best practices, Veterans Matter has now housed over 4,000 veterans and over 1,400 veteran’s children in 25 states.
