Support APU's 2018-19 Action Teams!
In a season full of uncertainty and confusion, the Lord has paved a way for me to continue serving His world this summer. This summer I will be teaching English in Hong Kong with a team of APU students. I will have my own class of approximately twenty middle school aged students who have already been put on a track by their teachers that tell them they will not go to University and that they are not special. It will be my job to help them learn conversational English as well as simply encourage them in their worth and make it known to them that their lives can still have meaning.
I didn’t think this is how I would spend my summer, but I am continuing to trust the Lord and His plan for my life. Despite my uncertainties for the future, I am doing my best to remain faithful. I have taken part in many trips like this, and every year the community I have behind me has been incredibly supportive both financially and through prayer. Whether it was my four years serving in Guatemala or last year’s trip to Poland, I want to sincerely thank you for your support through the years. These trips have all played big roles in helping me become who I am today and none of them would have been possible without you. This year the trip to Hong Kong is going to cost around $4,500. To donate you can mail me a check payable to Azusa Pacific University. If I am being honest, this a very daunting number to me, I have never had to raise so much before but I know the Lord will take care of it as long as I trust His will and continue moving in the direction I believe He has laid in front of me.
