Thank you for clicking onto this page. As many of you know I recently got married to the most amazing man, and am moving out to Oklahoma this summer after I graduate college, and after my mission trip to Kenya! Africa is my favorite place in the whole world, and I have been praying for God to open up a door for me to go back to this amazing continent.
I have never felt such a strong pull from God in my life to do something before. God has given me the opportunity to lead a team of seven amazing men and women from APU to Kenya! I could not be more excited and humbled that I get this opportunity to spend 3 weeks in Kenya after graduating college!
In Kenya, my team and I are going through a non-profit called By Grace Children's Home. Through this organization, we will be staying and working at an orphanage in Kenya with children and adolescents affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. This children's home provides homeless children a place to live, an education, uniforms for school, 3 meals a day, and a staff that pours their hearts out to these kids. This children's home is not only an orphanage, but also a school that is open to the public to attend!
Our team's main focus for going to By Grace Children's Home is to build relationships with the people at and around this orphanage, as well as help with any tasks needed, such as: physical labor projects, setting up sports games, arts and crafts with the kids, leading music worship, working in the classroom, and so much more!
This trip requires me to raise $2,375, and know that I cannot do this on my own! I know not everyone can give their time to go on a mission trip, but I do know there are people who would like to financially give to those that can! Any amount of money would mean so much to me.
Something that is just as much, if not more important than finances is prayer. If you could, please pray for my team and I as we are preparing for our mission trip, for the people of Kenya, for my team while we are in Kenya, and for God to use us in any way He wants to! I strive to be a light, and share God's love to people all over the world. People are the most important things to me on this earth, and my biggest passion! I am eager to meet more of God's children in Kenya.
