When I joined BBYO in the spring of 1998, I had no idea what an impact it would make on my life. I spent the four years of my high school experience learning about who I am as a Jew and as a leader. My first real leadership experience was through my chapter, first as RC coordinator, then as Chapter President. While I never won a regional election, those lessons taught me how to persevere in this world.
Post college graduation, I became an advisor to Ahavah BBG. For two years, I was able to give of my time to help younger BBGs find their place and inspire them to be leaders in their own communities.
I am participating in #givingBBYOday because I want to make sure our current high schoolers in Metro-Detroit have the same opportunities I did when I was their age.
Join me today, give what you can, no amount is too small. Your donation is matched by some very generous people in our community.
