Arguably, the most prolific team at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith began under the leadership of head coach Jane Sargent. Nearly three decades later, Sargent continues to lead groups of women each year to become the best version of themselves on and off the court. The UAFS volleyball family gives back to the community through volunteerism and awareness initiatives. The latter culminates with an annual Pink Out game in honor of Sargent’s battle with breast cancer and everyone else who is impacted by the disease.
As the team sets its eyes on the fall season, it must first come together as a new team. Funding will go toward helping the team bond by sending them to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs while the team is there for a preseason tournament. Supporting the team will also provide new navy jerseys and fund the annual alumni game.
