Sport Clips Haircuts & the VFW are Proud Supporters of Our Veterans
Since 2013, Sport Clips has been the primary supporter of the VFW’s “Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship” program, which provides scholarships for service members and veterans for use at post-secondary schools and trade schools.
Recipients are qualified service members and veterans in need of assistance in completing their educational goals at colleges, universities and trade schools. Their fields of study are vast and include everything from law school to medical school, engineering to social work, ministry to truck driving, and more.
To date, Sport Clips and the VFW have awarded 1,750 scholarships totaling $8 million!

Why a Virtual Walk?
The primary fundraising for the annual Sport Clips Help A Hero campaign is done in-store by the generous clients who donate to the cause. The Virtual Walk is an additional option for raising funds while bringing teams together, getting active and staying safe. This is a way to supplement in-store donations and other in-store fundraising events. All donations made through the online donation option and the Virtual Walk will go directly to the scholarship program.
How to Participate
- Click the REGISTER & FUNDRAISE button and become an individual walker/fundraiser or create a Team. (You will be prompted after you register with your name, email, phone number and zip code, no donation is required.)
- Sport Clips Team Members – If you are creating a Team for your store, please use the complete store name (city & shopping center/street name/etc.). Refer to the full name used on your local store Facebook page for reference.

- Sport Clips Haircuts of Knoxville – Fountain City
- Sport Clips Haircuts of Houston – Washington Heights
- VFW and Auxiliary Members – If you are creating a Team for your Post or Auxiliary, please use the Full Post or Auxiliary name and number. You may also sign up as an individual, create a family/friends Team or join your local Sport Clips store.
VFW and Auxiliary Post Name Examples:- Post 846 Santa Fe Trail
- Sugar Creek Memorial Auxiliary 3976
- To join a team - select the "Teams" tab above, find your team, and click the "Join This Team" button.
- Ask friends, clients, colleagues and family to join your fundraising team. (Once registered, you can share by clicking on the social media and email buttons on the top right. You will be assigned a special page and text to donate number).
- Walk in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, in an open park or wherever you like. ( .1 – 10 miles, whatever you prefer.)
- Snap a selfie and share on social media (pets are welcomed, too) using #HelpAHeroWalk.
