ONE DAY FOR DAWGS 2024
UBUNTU: "I am because we are"
This translation emphasizes the idea that our existence is intrinsically tied to our relationships with others. Our humanity is not isolated; it flourishes within the context of community and shared experiences.
One Day for Dawgs is Ferris State University’s annual day of giving. This fundraising is designed to work as crowd sourcing. Any contribution gets our program closer to our goal and is sincerely appreciated by our staff and students. Consider forgoing stopping for coffee one day and donate those funds here. Your contribution will directly impact our current and future students. Look closely. We have our hand out but are merely asking for a hand up.
The PGA Golf Management Program is raising funds to provide more access for students to participate in the following:
- PGA events such as industry shows: Annual PGA Show in Orlando
- Tournaments: Katke is hosting a northern Michigan chapter event which our students will have an opportunity to play in
- Our program has started 2 annual tournaments against other PGA Golf Management Schools: We will play against Eastern Kentucky this spring on April 13-14 at Hillcrest Country Club in Indianapolis Indiana. We will also be playing Penn State at a neutral location in the fall.
- Putting technology component to be added to Ken Janke Learning Center: SAM PuttLab
One Day for Dawgs offers our alumni, friends and family the opportunity to be a part of our mission to make the college experience for our current and future students a transformational one. You can make an even bigger contribution to our program by finding one kid who is in love with the golf industry and encourage them to attend Ferris State University. I would be grateful if you would introduce these young men and women to our PGA Golf Management Program and let them know our mission.
