As the number of families who need a safe and secure place to call home continues to grow in our LA area, each of us can make a difference, and together we will accomplish great things! Team Habitat LA is running together to further our vision of a world where everyone has a secure and safe place to live. Los Angeles ranks as one of the least affordable housing areas in the U.S., yet Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is one of the few – if not only – affordable homeownership programs that serve low-income families. The overwhelming need for housing in our communities has provided Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) with a unique opportunity to change lives in our neighborhoods.

The nation's most populous state experienced a 16.4 percent increase in homelessness in 2019, the report by the Department of Housing and Urban Development said, even though voters approved a $4 billion affordable housing bond more than a year ago, and Los Angeles passed its own $1.2 billion housing bond in 2016.
