Dave was always an advocate for the disabled and he often volunteered at Special Olympic Events in Maryland, as a student at Virginia Tech, and as a volunteer in Phoenix. Pictured above is Dave with his cousin Nathan who was a Special Olympics Softball Player in Maryland.
