The Unity Campaign for Frederick County
We started The Love for Lochlin Foundation in honor of our 5-year-old son that passed away from Flu - Sepsis in 2020. We have made it our mission to assure that no other family has to experience what we have from the impacts of an infectious disease. We do this by making sure that everyone has access to vaccines, masks, disinfectants/sanitation products, and educational information.
At The Love for Lochlin Foundation Inc., our Mission is to help prevent, educate, and drive awareness to the deadly impacts of infectious disease such as Influenza ("the Flu") and COVID-19. We work hard at providing our community with the resources, knowledge, and ability to help prevent these infectious diseases through proven and ethical practices. It is our promise that we will work tirelessly to help prevent anyone from experiencing the pain that our family has felt from a vaccinable disease.
At the core of our mission is helping reduce the spread of infectious diseases in our community. We do this through fighting these diseases at the ground level by holding pop up clinics in low income/underserved areas of the community, arming patrons with vaccines, materials, and education to help prevent them from getting sick. Over the past two years, The Love for Lochlin Foundation has held over 200 pop up clinics, providing 2,725 free flu vaccines ($95,375 worth). These efforts alone have potentially helped prevent over 7,600 flu cases! However, Flu vaccines are just one of the items offered at Love For Lochlin clinics, we also provide masks, covid test, household disinfectants, hand sanitizer, and clothing. On top of that we partner with multiple other organizations by having them attend our clinics to assure that the community has direct access to all of the resources needed to fight the spread of infectious diseases!

The Unity Campaign is a collaborative project between nonprofit partners, sponsors, and the greater Frederick community to support our most vulnerable neighbors by giving to a nonprofit organization of their choice from March 8 through March 19.
