GivingBBYODay 2019
BBYO, especially GMR (the Great Midwest Region) holds a special place in my heart. As a teen, BBYO connected me with Jewish teens from all over the Chicagoland area. It enabled me to find my Jewish Identity and grow as a leader. In college, "Oh my gosh, you were in BBYO too? Do you know __?" provided me with that instant connection to other Jewish college students trying to find their place on and off campus. After college I found my way back to BBYO as an advisor, working with amazing teen leaders. Recently, I joined the BBYO family as a full-time member, working towards the greater goal of providing teens a safe and welcoming space to find their Jewish Identity.
#givingBBYOday is part of the worldwide #GivingTuesday campaign - a global day of giving on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. After we give thanks for family and friends and, after we’ve shopped the deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #givingBBYOday is our opportunity to give back to the causes we care about.
Every dollar raised for Great Midwest Region (GMR) stays local, directly supporting teens in our community. This year, each region will have a chance to receive a bonus gift of $1,000 - the region with the highest number of donors will receive this extra program grant. And every dollar raised on #givingBBYOday is matched dollar for dollar - doubling your donation!
