Dolly Parton's Imagination Library - Giving Tuesday
My goal in life is to spread the love of reading. Granted, I am a librarian. But I know that many of you are also readers and recognize how important reading is.
I need your help to encourage little ones and many of our families in the Central Susquehanna Valley to read. A sobering statistic; 25% of children under the age of 5 live below the poverty level in my county. We rank #3 in the state for at-risk. It is so sad!
When you place a book in a child's hand, you change their life forever.
That is why I am fundraising for our local libraries and Dolly Patron's Imagination Library.
For the cost of one hardback book ($25), a child receives 12 books (one a month) for free, delivered directly to their home. 12 books - that's a little over $2 per book. Crazy cost effective and easy for the family. No driving to the library, no fines, and no fees.
I hope you can spare a few dollars to help me spread the love of reading!

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a program that donates books to children from the ages 0-5 every month. In our area, we currently have about 290 children registered and over 300 children on a waiting list. For only $25 per child per year we can provide each of these children with this program.
